Preparing to connect via wireless LAN

• When connecting via an access point

Check that the wireless LAN access point you are using supports the
following environment.
• Standard: IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n
• Access mode: Infrastructure mode

Check that the wireless LAN access point supports WPS.
If WPS is not supported, check the SSID and encryption key using the instruction manual
supplied with the wireless LAN access point.
• SSID is also called the network name, ESSID or ESS-ID.
• Encryption key is also called the network key, security key, password, or pre-shared key (PSK).
• When connecting directly with this machine

Check that your wireless device supports the following environment.
• Standard: IEEE 802.11 b/g/n
• Security: WPA2-PSK(AES)

Check that your wireless device supports WPS-PBC (Push-Button
Configuration).
If you are not sure whether WPS-PBC is supported, connect manually after turning on the
power of this machine.

Connecting via an access point (Infrastructure)

Select the enabled default gateway.

Press « ∧ » or « ∨ » several times to display [ADMIN SETUP].

Press «OK».

Input the password when [ENTER PASSWORD] is displayed.
• The default password is "999999".

After you have input the password, press «OK».

Press « ∧ » or « ∨ » several times to display [NETWORK SETUP], and
press «OK».

Press « ∧ » or « ∨ » several times to display [ENABLING DEFAULT
GATEWAY], and press «OK».

Press « ∨ » to display [WIRELESS(INFRASTRUCTURE)], and press «OK».

If you press «ONLINE», the machine returns to the standby state "READY
TO PRINT".
