CHAPTER 5
In order to let the system board to work efficiently, a series of drivers have to install according
to the operating system used. The drivers may be delivered via CD-ROM or floppy diskettes.
The device driver installation procedures from CD-ROM and floppy diskettes are similar. The
only difference is the path of the driver location. Please refer to the following section for the
installation procedures for floppy diskettes. For CD-ROM installation, please refer to the
README.TXT file on the Root Directory of the CD-ROM.

SYSTEM CHIPSET DRIVERS INSTALLATION
IDE Driver

ACPI Patch Program
a)
Under Windows9x, insert the All-In-One Multimedia CD-ROM into CD-ROM
Driver (say d:)
b)
Browse the CD ROM and click Autorun.exe in the directory \VIAAGP\
c)
Follow the on screen instructions to complete the drivers installation as listed
above

ATI VGA DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS 9x
a)
Under Windows 9x, insert the CD into the CD-ROM (say d:)
b)
Click Start on the taskbar in Windows 9x
c)
Click Run on the menu bar in Windows 9x
d)
Type d:\Atiagp\win9X\setup
e)
Follow the on screen instructions to complete the installation
f)
After the installation is completed, Windows 9x should be restarted to let the
drivers take function
SOFTWARE
INSTALLATION
For Win9x Bus Master IDE Driver, enable or disable
the Ultra DMA or PIO IDE Devices under Win9x
For PCI Mini port driver under Win9x
Setup the Virtual Drivers for Win 9x to support the
AGP features
Patch the VIA Power Management Controller for the
ACPI function of Win9x
