Thermistor
Thermistor protection is based on a direct temperature measurement in the motor via binary
PTC thermistors which can be connected to either Basic Unit 1 (BU1) or Basic Unit 2 (BU2).
Thermistor protection is used for:
● motors with high switching frequencies
● converter operation
● Motors with heavy starting
● intermittent operation and/or during braking
● a restricted air supply
● speeds that are lower than the rated speed.
In this case, the sensors are mounted in the winding slot or in the bearings of the motor.
Response at tripping level
Here you can choose the SIMOCODE pro response to be executed if the temperature
exceeds the trip level.

Note
With motors for EEx e applications, the response must remain set to "tripping".
Sensor fault sensor circuit error
Here you can choose the SIMOCODE pro response to be executed if there is a short circuit
or a wire break in the thermistor sensor cable.
