Take care of your Movie-2 bus
Install your DigiMix
If, in the future, you add additional DigiSuite cards to your system, you'll
be installing an appropriate Movie-2 bus connector. Please read carefully
the section entitled "Take care of your Movie-2 bus—Important!" in the
DigiSuite Installation Manual.
1. Place your computer in the proper installation position.
2. Open your computer and identify the expansion slot P1 in which
you'll install your DigiMix.
3. Touch a gray metal part on your computer chassis in order to drain
static electricity from your body. If you have a grounding wrist strap,
attach it to your computer chassis and around your wrist.
4. If slot P1 already contains another PCI card, either move it to an
unused PCI slot or remove it completely.
5. Remove the metal plate located at the back of slot P1. Don't lose the
screw as you'll need it to fasten DigiMix later on.
6. Remove DigiMix from its antistatic bag and make sure the
termination switch is set to the position marked "75" if you want
REF IN terminated.
7. Install DigiMix in the following manner:
a. Remove the card from its antistatic bag.
b. Carefully align the card with its expansion slot.
c. Slide the card towards the slot until it touches. Make sure that the
metal plate at the back of the card slips into the opening left by
the blank metal plate you removed in step
the card extender bracket is aligned with and inserted into the ISA
card guide inside the front of the computer chassis.
d. Once the card touches its slot, make sure it's perfectly aligned and
then press it into the slot connector until it's firmly in place.
e. Secure the card by fastening its metal bracket to the computer
chassis using the screw you removed in step
8. Once everything is in place, close your computer's cover.
