SET MODE
Using Set Mode
You can use the Set mode to set infrequently changed values or function settings. The transceiver has two types of
Set modes, as shown below.
D Using the Basic Set mode
Example: Selecting a 20 kHz tuning step
1. Push [SET] to enter the Set mode.
• A Set mode item is displayed.
2. Push [SET] several times to select "tS."
L Alternatively, you can also push [MONI] or [P] to select
"tS"
3. Rotate [DIAL] to select "20.0."
4. Push [V/M/C] or [ENT] to exit the Set mode.
D Using the Initial Set mode
Example: Setting the Auto Power OFF Timer to 30
minutes
1. Rotate [VOL] counter-clockwise to turn OFF the
transceiver.
2. While holding down [SET], rotate [VOL] clockwise
to turn ON the transceiver.
• An Initial Set mode item is displayed.
3. Push [SET] several times to select "AP OFF."
4. Rotate [DIAL] to select "30."
5. Push [V/M/C] or [ENT] to exit the Initial Set mode.
