Serverboard Features

At the heart of the SuperServer 6017R-M7UF/6017R-M7RF lies the X9DRL-7F, a
dual processor serverboard based on the Intel® PCH C602J chipset. Below are the
main features of the X9DRL-7F. See Figure 1-1 for a block diagram of the chipset.

Processors

The X9DRL-7F supports dual Intel

Memory

The X9DRL-7F has eight DIMM slots that can support up to 256 GB of 240-pin
DDR3-1600/1333/1066/800 Registered (RDIMM)/Load Reduced (LRDIMM) ECC or
Unbuffered (UDIMM) ECC/Non-ECC DIMM modules. Memory modules of the same
size and speed should be used. See Chapter 5 for details.

SAS/SATA

A SATA controller is integrated into the chipset to provide a six-port Serial ATA
subsystem 4x SATA 2.0 and 2x SATA 3.0 ports). In addition, the X9DRL-7F has
an LSI 2208 controller to support eight SAS ports. The SAS and SATA drives are
hot-swappable units.

PCI Expansion Slots

The system supports one PCI-Express 3.0 x8 card with the use of the installed
riser card.

I/O Ports

The color-coded I/O ports include a COM port, a VGA port, four USB 2.0 ports, two
Gb LAN (NIC) ports and a dedicated IPMI LAN port.
