If an HP Smart Storage Battery is installed, slightly pull up the battery holder from the chassis to access

the battery cable connection underneath it, and then disconnect the HP Smart Storage Battery cable.
Remove the PDB cover (on page 31).

Remove the screw.

Slide back the PDB cover and remove it from the chassis.

Remove the chassis access panel

Power down the system (on page 27).
