Step Action
After ANALYZING, AED
5 decides whether a shock is
needed
According to previous step:
If shock advised, AED
automatically go to next step

If no shock advised, AED
automatically go to CPR help

Wait until charging is

In semi-automated mode
8 press the shock button,
unless go to step 9
Stay away from the patient
9 because the shock is
delivering
Apply CPR for 1 minute and
30 seconds, until the next

prompt is played
Result
(Audio prompt will be repeated after 4 seconds)
AED determines that patient has a shockable
rhythm or not:
If rhythm is shockable plays:
SHOCK ADVISED
DON'T TOUCH PATIENT
If rhythm is not shockable Plays:
SHOCK NOT ADVISED
AED goes to charging mode or CPR help
mode according to previous step.
Charging is started and AED displays:
CHARGING... "x" J
while charging is completed, then AED
display this prompt
CHARGE COMPLETED
STAND CLEAR
PRESS SHOCK BUTTON
(Audio prompt)
AED delivers the shock and update the shock
counter on display and following voice prompt
will be heard:
SHOCK DELIVERED
Help prompts of the CPR is displayed until
AED's next prompt
Perform CPR
