On the left hand side of the 30/60 Mbps PIDU 48V DC input and output connections can be
found. These are used to power the 30/60 Mbps Backhaul from an external DC source or to
provide a level of power supply redundancy as shown in Section 3.1.4 "Redundancy and
Alternate Powering Configurations".
WARNING: When using alternate DC supplies the supply MUST comply with the following
requirements:
The voltage and polarity is correct and is applied to the correct terminals in the 30/60 Mbps
PIDU.
The power source is rated as SELV
The power source is rated to supply at least 1A continuously, and
The power source cannot provide more than the Energy Hazard Limit as defined by
IEC/EN/UL6090, Clause 2.5, Limited Power (The Energy Hazard Limit is 240VA)
Also on the left hand side of the 30/60 Mbps PIDU connects and jumpers can be found that
allow the remote connection of power LED, Ethernet LED and Recovery Switch. The
connection instructions can be found in Section 3.1.5 "Remote LEDs and Recovery Switch".
The input supply range for the 30/60 Mbps PIDU is 100V-240V AC, 47-63Hz. AC (mains)
connection to the 30/60 Mbps PIDU is made using a standard "figure eight" mains lead as
shown in Figure 5.

PIDU AC Power 
The PIDU converts AC (mains) input to the Power over Ethernet (POE) output by the ODU. The
input supply range for the PIDU is 90V-264V AC, 47-63Hz.

This resets the configuration to factory defaults.

user loaded software images leaving the factory
