3.3 Operation without DMX controller
If no DMX control signal is present at the jack DMX INPUT (11), the yellow indicating led MASTER (5) lights
up, the display (1) indicates
(provided that the blackout mode is switched off.
• Set the light patterns into focus by turning the lens (7).
3.4 Music control
For music control adjust the control SENSITIVITY (13) for the microphone sensitivity so that the dynamic
power of the music will be reproduced in an optimum way by the movements of the light beam and the
change of the light patterns and colours. When changing the colour, the pattern, or the movement by a
music signal, the green led SOUND (5) shortly lights up.
Note: when changing the volume of the music system, the microphone sensitivity must be adapt ed accord-
ingly via the rotary control.
Four different show programmes are available which differ in the maximum panning and tilting angles for
the moving head:
• Show 1 is provided for placing the unit on the floor. The maximum tilting angle is 210°.
• Show 2 is provided for ceiling mounting. The maximum tilting angle is 90°.
• Show 3 is provided for setting up the unit on stage towards the audience. The panning angle is 160° and
the tilting angle 90° (60° above the horizontal plane and 30° below the horizontal plane).
• Show 4 is also provided for ceiling mounting. The maximum rotating angle is 160° and the maximum
tilting angle 90° (75° to the front and 15° to the rear).
a) To switch between Show 1 to 4, press the button MENU so many times until the display shows
mode). Never wait for more than 8 seconds to press the next button, otherwise the adjusting procedure will
be stopped.
b) Press the button ENTER (4). The display starts flashing.
c) With the button DOWN or UP (3), select between Show 1 to Show 4.
d) To memorize, press the button ENTER. The display will show
gramme number will reappear and the programme sequence will start.
3.5 Linking
Several units may be interconnected in order to control all further slave units to the same rhythm via the
microphone of the master unit.
1. Connect the DMX OUT of the master unit via a 3-pole XLR cable to the DMX IN of the first slave unit.
2. Connect the DMX OUT of the first slave unit to the DMX IN of the second slave unit, etc. until all units are
connected in a chain.
3. As soon as the control signals from the master unit are present at the slave units, their red led SLAVE will
light up.
4. The movements of the slave units may be in sync with the master unit or be precisely opposite to it (e. g.
if only one slave unit is used).
a) To switch between movement in sync and opposite movement, press the button MENU (2) on the slave
unit so many times until the display shows
the next button, otherwise the adjusting procedure will be stopped.
