Troubleshooting
Symptom
Alert indicator LED illuminates.
EXPLOSION HAZARD
Never charge a frozen battery.

Never charge a Lithium Ion type battery with an ambient of

0 °C (32 °F) or colder.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious
injury, or equipment damage.
Possible Cause
Battery temperature is either
too hot or too cold for safe
charging.

Solution
If battery is too hot, allow battery to
cool. Improve ventilation or install
in a cooler location.
Using the Xantrex App, you may
reduce the output current using
the Max Charging Current setting.
If battery is too cold, allow
batteries to warm up.
Symptom
XPLORE Charger completes a charging cycle, but the battery
voltage seems too low.
Possible Cause
Battery has a shorted cell.

Solution
Disconnect AC to the charger and
check the battery voltage
approximately one hour later.
NOTE: If the charger is functioning
properly but the charge cycles fail
to bring the resting voltage up
above 10 V for 12-volt chargers,
then this confirms the battery has a
damaged or shorted cell.
Replace battery.
The battery has reached the end
of its useful life and can no longer
accept a charge.
