    The drip shields help to protect the unit from dripping or splashing liquids, which will cause a shock hazard when moisture comes in contact with electrical circuits in the unit. The drip shields are especially useful in marine installations where water from condensation, rain, or sea may come into contact with the Freedom EX 4000.
