• If you always print letters (and the letters never join), or if
you always print in upper-case letters (and the letters never
join), change the handwriting style used by the program. To
do this, select File > Preferences, and select Writing Style.
Change the writing style and select OK. If the transcription
accuracy does not improve, change the setting back to the
default, Script, which uses the largest database.
Problem: My computer system running slower than usual. Is
there anything in Ink Manager Pro that might be slowing it down?
The settings on Ink Manager Pro might require resources that
slow your system down. Try one or more of the following:
• Reduce the number of Undo's. The system must store the
default number of previous actions. To reduce the number
of Undo's, open File > Preferences > Application.
• Reduce the number of transcription alternates (if keyword
transcription is enabled). To reduce the number of alternates,
open File > Preferences > Actions.
• Reduce the upload (transfer) policy. By default, your upload
policy is set to High. To reduce the frequency, open
ThinkScribe Notepad Properties to the Inking tab. To do
this, select Start > Programs > IBM Ink Manager Pro >
Utilities > ThinkScribe Notepad Properties, and select the
Inking tab. Select either Medium or Low.
Problem: I cannot find the ink files that I removed from my
navigation panel.
Double-click the My Ink Files icon on your Windows desktop to
the see ink files stored in the default location, such as when you
use the Remove option to remove an ink file from the navigation
panel:
• Windows 98: C:\Windows\All Users\Application
Data\IBM Ink Manager Pro.
• Windows 2000: C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\IBM Ink Manager Pro. If the files
do not show up, in Windows Explorer, select Tools > Folder
