12.3 Headrest Mounting Kit (Fig. 12)
"The Back" is designed to accommodate different headrest mounting kits from the Otto Bock
program.
1. Remove the Floam pad as described in section 9 "Removing and Attaching the Floam Pad".
2. Align the headrest mounting kit on the inward side of the center part of "The Back" according
to the marked bore holes (Fig. 12).
3. Select the required bore holes and additionally mark them for redrilling.
4. Drill out the marked bore holes of "The Back" using a 6 mm (1/4") drill bit.
5. Attach the assembly parts and tighten all screws snugly. Mount the headrest.
6. Adjust the headrest as needed.
7. Re-attach the Floam pad as described in section 9 "Removing and Attaching the Floam Pad".

13 Maintenance, Cleaning and Care

Ensure that "The Back" is correctly fitted and secured to the wheelchair before every use and
that all screw fixings are checked and tightened securely on a regular basis. It is also recom-
mended that "The Back" is examined annually by your authorized specialist dealer. Should any
problems or wear be encountered, please contact your authorized specialist dealer immediately
in order to have them corrected.

Care Guide

Care of the Foam Pads (Items 3, 7 & 8)
The wings (Item 3) and lateral supports (Items 7 & 8) contain an open cell foam pad that must
be removed prior to washing. These foam pads SHOULD NOT be washed. However, the fabric
covers of the wings and of the lateral supports may be machine washed on a knit/delicate cycle.
DO NOT USE BLEACH and allow to drip dry.
