5. HYDRAULIC INSTALLATION AND CONNECTIONS

5.1 HUMIDIFIER COMPOSITION

5.1.1 Top and front

The top and front of the Mistral humidifier consists of:
• Humidity outlet;
• Fairairintake;
• LED user interface.

5.1.2 Bottom

The bottom of the Mistral humidifier consists of
• Water outlet solenoid valve;
• Water inlet solenoid valve;
• Electrical connections.

5.2 HYDRAULIC INSTALLATION

Forproperhydraulicinstallationandoptimaloperationofthehumidifier,makeprovisionfor:
• A shut-off tap;
• A pressure reducer (if the mains pressure exceeds1 MPa (10 bar)).
NOTE:Ifusingapressurereducer,makesureitiseffectiveanddoesnotcauseanydrasticpressuredropswhenthemains
pressure is very low.
MALFUNCTIONING OF THE EQUIPMENT
The water supply must have a minimum pressure of 0.02 MPa (0.2 bar).

5.2.1 Water specifications

OPTIMAL OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS
• Waterpressureof0.02...1MPa(0.2...10bar)withanassuredminimumflowrateof1l/min;
• Inletwatertemperaturebetween1...40°C(33.8...104°F)inclusive;
• Conductivitybetween0...100μS/cminclusive;
• Maximum water hardness between 0...5 °f.
NOTE: Using inlet water with the above characteristics fosters reduced maintenance frequency.
GENERAL OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS
• Waterpressureof0.02...1MPa(0.2...10bar)withanassuredminimumflowrateof1l/min;
• Inletwatertemperaturebetween1...40°C(33.8...104°F)inclusive;
• Conductivitybetween0...1250μS/cminclusive;
• Maximum water hardness between 0...40 °f.
NOTE:Higherwaterhardnessorahigherleveloforganicmatterdoesnotprecludeproperequipmentoperation,nevertheless
these factors mean that more frequent maintenance will be required.
What should you do?
• Letthewaterflowthroughthedrainforafewhoursbeforemakingthefinalconnection.
•  P eriodicallycheckthestateofrepairoftheJGconnectionoftheinletsolenoidvalve(see"10.2 PERIODICALLY
CHECKING THE STATUS OF THE HUMIDIFIER" ON PAGE 51).
What should you NOT do?
• Do not use well water or water with a hardness greater than 40 °f
MALFUNCTIONING OF THE EQUIPMENT
• Do not use well water.
• Oncethehumidifierhasbeeninstalled,lettheremainingwaterinthepipesflowouttopreventtheinletsolenoidvalvefrom
becoming clogged.
• Makesurethehumidifierpartsareperfectlyintact.
• Ifanyofthehumidifierpartsarenotintact,donotproceedwithinstallation.
