Gi29 Fan Install
6. Push power cord and ground wire that are attached to the Fan
Controller Box through the front of the fireplace and to the rear of
the fireplace. Secure the Fan Controller Box with the two supplied
black Phillips screws.
7. Pull the power cord through an connect the blue connector to
the open fan terminal. Refer to wiring diagram and ground lug
details as per the wiring diagram. Pull the power cord through
the access plate and secure with supplied strain relief.
8. Connect green ground wire from power cord and green ground
wire from fan to ground lug, accessed from the right side of
the unit when facing the unit. Split the wire sheathing for extra
slack if necessary.
9. Tuck excess wires away from view, leaving enough slack to pull
module out. Ensure wires will not come into contact with the
spinning fan blades.

10. Reinstall the Access Plate and the Fan Mount Plate with the
fan installed.
11. Plug the power cord into electrical source, either from within
the masonry cavity or out the front of the faceplate. There is
an opening on the bottom corners of the faceplate to allow the
cord to come out.
Blue
• The bearings are lubricated for life. Do not lubricate them.
Make sure you vacuum the fan area on a regular basis.
• If using a thermostat, the blower motor will turn on right
away, once the thermostat has reached it's desired set
point the blower motor will switch off in 12 min.
The fans collect a lot of dust from within your home.
Ensure you maintain the fan motors by having a certified
gas technician vacuum the fan blades and housing using a
soft brush nozzle.
