Upon starting the vehicle, after the initial instrument panel check, the ABS lamp flashes
until the speed of 3 mph (5 km/h) is exceeded and then it switches off or continues to
flash even after exceeding the speed of 3 mph (5 km/h).
If the ABS warning light continues flashing or is permanently on, a failure has been
detected and the ABS has been automatically deactivated.
In this case carry out the following operations:
•
stop the vehicle;
•
OFF-ON key;
•
ride the vehicle with a speed above 3 mph (5 km/h): the ABS warning light

must be turned off;
•
ABS is functioning.
If the ABS disabled indication remains:

THE ABS SYSTEM IS DESIGNED AND DEVELOPED CONSISTENTLY WITH THE
ENTIRE VEHICLE, FOR OFF-ROAD USE AS WELL.
IF THE VEHICLE IS USED ON PARTICULARLY ROUGH ROADS, THE ABS SYS-
TEM MAY BE DISABLED AUTOMATICALLY; IN ANY CASE, THE BRAKING
SYSTEM WORKS PERFECTLY WELL AS A TRADITIONAL NON-ABS BRAKING
SYSTEM AND PROVIDES A STANDARD STOPPING PERFORMANCE.
IN ORDER TO REACTIVATE THE SYSTEM JUST STOP AND RESTART THE VE-
HICLE AND RIDE WITH A SPEED ABOVE 3 mph (5 km/h).
THE ABS SYSTEM ACTS ON BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR WHEELS BY OB-
TAINING INFORMATION FROM THE ROTATION/ LOCKING TONE WHEELS.
ALWAYS CHECK THAT THE TONE WHEEL IS CLEAN, AND REGULARLY
CHECK THAT THE DISTANCE FROM THE SENSOR IS CONSTANT ON ALL 360
DEGREES. SHOULD THE WHEELS BE REMOVED AND REFITTED, IT IS VERY
