The RAIN mode is designed for use of the vehicle on wet surfaces or in conditions of
poor grip. The system provides the torque smoothly to prevent loss of grip. In this
mode, the vehicle performance is limited, and therefore, the maximum speed cannot
be reached.
EVEN IN THIS MODE, ALWAYS USE PARTICULAR CAUTION WHEN RIDING IN
POOR GRIP CONDITIONS.
Passing through the various riding modes is carried out using the starter button that,
3 seconds after the engine has started, acquires the function of "Riding mode selection
button".

IMPORTANT
THE RIDING MODE SELECTION PROCEDURE IS ACTIVE ONLY WITH THE EN-
GINE STARTED AND THE THROTTLE RELEASED. THIS PROCEDURE CAN
ALSO BE CARRIED OUT WITH THE MOTORCYCLE MOVING AND THE THROT-
TLE RELEASED.
RIDING MODES MAY ALSO BE PRESELECTED WHILE THE THROTTLE IS
OPEN. IN THIS CASE, THE NEW MODE IS ONLY EFFECTIVELY IMPLEMENTED
WHEN THE THROTTLE IS CLOSED AGAIN. THE ICON FLASHES WHEN A NEW
MODE IS PRESELECTED AND PENDING IMPLEMENTATION.
To change the riding mode proceed as follows:
By pressing the button for the first time, the symbol of the riding mode cur-
rently applied will be flashing.
pressing the button again within 1.5 seconds from the first time, the next riding
mode selected will be flashing. If the button is not pressed again within 1.5
seconds (which would select the next available riding mode), and the throttle
grip is not used, the new riding mode is shown in a fixed manner on the
display, indicating that the new riding mode selection has been implemented.
IMPORTANT
IF THE THROTTLE IS OPENED WHILE THE NEW RIDING MODE IS SHOWN IN
FLASHING MODE ON THE DISPLAY (I.E. MODE IS PRESELECTED ONLY AND
PENDING IMPLEMENTATION BY THE ECU), THE PRESELECTED NEW RIDING
