Replacing the Processor

Replacing the Processor
HP does not support processor upgrades. This information is provided
to help you replace a defective unit with a processor provided by HP
support services.
1 Disconnect the power supply cords and any connection to a
telecommunications network.
2 Remove the PC's cover (page 3).
3 If necessary, remove the power supply unit to improve access to the
processor (minitower models only).
4 Press the two plastic clips towards each other until you hear them
click in place.
5 Carefully pull the processor module away from the slot 1 connector.
