Start-up, calibration and operation of the burner
5.1
Notes on safety for the first start-up
The first start-up of the burner must be carried out
by qualified personnel, as indicated in this manual
and in compliance with the standards and regula-
tions of the laws in force.
WARNING
5.2
Adjustments prior to ignition (light oil)
It is recommended to adjust first the light oil burner
and then the gas burner.
Carry out the fuel change with burner off.
WARNING
The optimum calibration of the burner requires an analysis of the
flue gases at the boiler outlet and interventions on the following
points.
5.3
Servomotor adjustment (SQM 10)
The servomotor (Fig. 32) simultaneously adjusts, through driving
gears, the output and pressure of the air, and the flow rate of the
fuel being used.
It is equipped with adjustable cams which operate as many
switches.
Cam 1:
limits the maximum opening of the servomotor.
Cam 2:
limits the servomotor limit switch at the 0° posi-
tion. With the burner off, the air damper is com-
pletely closed.
Cam 3:
establishes the minimum modulation position.
This factory set at 20° (only one fuel).
Cam 4:
limits the maximum opening of the servomotor
(for mixed burners operating with gas).
Cam 5:
limits the minimum output. This factory set at 20°
(for mixed burners operating with gas).
Other cams:
available.
For the maximum limit switch (cam 1 - 4) never ex-
ceed 130°.
WARNING
