♦ NO (default): Assigns a fixed IP address to the IP-Reach unit (recommended).

IP Address: Enter the IP address for IP-Reach given by your Network
Administrator.
b. Subnet Mask: Enter a Subnet Mask provided by your Network
Administrator.

Default Gateway: Enter the Default Gateway if your Network Administrator
specifies one.
Enable Modem Interface: Enables Dial-up Modem access (default: YES).

D. Enable Web Browser Interface: Enables web browser access to IP-Reach. Use the
default value YES.
E. Use Default TCP Port 5000:
i.
YES (default): Utilizes the default port 5000. Use the default value.
ii.
NO: Enter an alternate port number.
Note: To access IP-Reach from beyond a firewall, your firewall settings must enable two-way
communication through the default port 5000 or a non-default port configured above
Important: The Paragon II System Controller communicates with the IP-Reach
units through TCP port 5000 only. Therefore, set the TCP port number to 5000
if you want a P2SC unit to manage the Paragon II Base Unit where the IP-
Reach units are associated. Otherwise, the P2SC unit cannot auto discover
the IP-Reach units.
4. Press CTRL+S to save entries. The Main Menu appears.
5. On the Main Menu, select R Restart or shutdown the IP-Reach, and press ENTER .
6. When prompted, press the letter R on your keyboard to restart IP-Reach.
7. IP-Reach will restart and the IP-Reach Initialization screen appears upon boot up.
8. IP-Reach is now ready for connection into the Paragon II and CommandCenter Integration
configuration.
Note: Repeat these steps for every IP-Reach unit in your Paragon II and CommandCenter
Integration configuration. In the context of a single "layer" (see Appendix B: Sample
Configurations, configure one TR364 IP-Reach and one M2 IP-Reach).
