The S
mode allows for rapid examination of rock faces and
CAN
lengths of core. The variable audio allows you to rapidly corre-
late visually the various lithologies being examined. This mode
may also be used for detailed core logging with optional digital
recording.

on page 18 and is shown schematically in the following figure:
