The pasture topper is designed for efficient cutting and topping of grass and fields in mixed terrain. Its powerful square profile frame gives it good durability and strength. The pasture topper is a versatile, robust and dependable grassland topper with 6 bolted, specially shaped blades that fold out of the way in the event of collision with obstacles.

    PRODUCT SAFETY INFORMATION Kellfri’s pasture topper is designed to work efficiently at 540 rpm. Make sure that the tractor’s power take off is set to 540 rpm. The machine may only be used for mowing grass. In addition, the machine should only be used with a suitable tractor (see product specifications) and pow- ered by a suitable PTO shaft.

    WORK STATION: The driver must remain seated in the driver’s seat throughout the work. If the operator needs to leave the tractor, the PTO must be disengaged, the tractor’s engine switched off and the parking brake engaged.     PERSONAL PROTECTION Always wear suitable clothing and shoes. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery while work- ing with the machine or the product. Long hair should be tied up when working with equip- ment that has moving parts. Use protective gloves to avoid the risk of burns if hot surfaces such as exhaust pipes are touched, and to avoid oil and petrol getting in contact with the skin.

    BEFORE USE Carefully read the safety instructions and the operating instructions. Make sure that you un- derstand the safety instructions, operating instructions and warning decals. Use common sense and suitable personal protective equipment when using the product. Always check the performance of the machine combination to be used. It is important that these are compatible and work satisfactorily together.

    RISKS AND HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF GROUNDCARE MACHINERY Risk of crushing Observers can be injured when the machine is lowered in the cutting position. Pasture toppers have crushing points around the hinge areas and between the three-point linkage and the main body.

    Slipping and fall accidents Accidents involving slipping and falling are often a result of: • Slippery conditions • Uneven steps and work platforms. The risk of slipping and falling can be reduced considerably by exercising good judgement. All unprotected rotating machine parts are a potential for accidents. Accidents usually occur when loose-fitting clothing or long hair is caught and wrapped around rotating parts, such as PTO shafts or drive shafts on the machine.

    USE/OPERATION Only those who understand the safety instructions and the operating instructions may use the equipment or product. Exercise caution and care when working with the equipment or prod- uct and only use it in the way described in the instruction manual. There is a risk of crushing when working with equipment that has moving parts.

    CONNECTING • Connect the machine to the tractor’s rear three-point linkage. • Connect the PTO shaft. Secure the chain properly. • Ready for use. AFTER USE • Parking is not allowed with the equipment above the ground, but with the equipment resting on the ground.

    SERVICE INTERVALS/MAINTENANCE • Check the oil level before each use. • Change the oil regularly, after each 100 hours of operation. Position the machine as level as possible, check the oil level in the gearbox, top up if necessary with 80W-90 gearbox oil through the oil filler plug as indicated. Check the correct level in the oil level screw as shown in the illustration below.
