Notes about fault location

Status reports should be printed to check the mechanical and electronic function ca-
pabilities – provided that no obvious no defects are evident.

Data transmission

Check interface cable
INTERF. PARAM. > EASYPLUGINTERPR>
Check, if
Interface is set correctly
Check parameters (Baud rate, parity, stop bits,
number of data bits, data synch. - only for serial in-
terface)
Change or replace cable pin assignment, see to-
pic section Service Electronics 
Set parameter (only for serial interface)
Select standard character set
Check and if necessary plug in again
Check and if necessary replace board
Do not exceed cable length
Solution
Replace CPU board. Required change index: at
least -05, see Spare Parts Catalog 
Check and if necessary plug in again
Check and if necessary replace display
Check and if necessary replace CPU board
Check and if necessary plug in again
Check and if necessary replace operation panel
Check and if necessary replace CPU board
