    ADJUSTING THE CHIP LENGTH It is the distance between the cutting knives and the counter knife which determines the chip size. Wood chips size is set by moving the cutting knife inward or outward. The greater the distance is between the blades, the larger chips you get. IMPORTANT! When adjusting the knives, it is important that the cutting blades do not touch the counter knife and cutting distance is the same on all of them.
