1 Does the stapler operate in
keeping with stapling
operation?
2 Move the stapler by hand.
Does the state of J111-11 (+)
on the finisher controller
PCB change?
3 Is 24 VSTP supplied to J113-
1 (+) on the finisher
controller PCB?
4 Is 24 VSTP supplied from
J713-4 (+) on the fuse PCB?
5 Is 24 VSTP supplied from
J713-4 (+) on the switching
regulator?
Step Checks
1 Does the stapler move at the
correct timing?
2 Move the stapler by hand.
Does the state of J112-8 (+)
on the finisher controller
PCB change?
3 Is 24 VSTP supplied to J113-
1 (+) on the finisher
controller PCB?
4 Is 24 VSTP supplied from
J713-4 (+) on the fuse PCB?
5 Is 24 VSTP from J713-4 (+)
on the switching regulator
supplied?

Yes Go to step 2.
No Go to step 3.
No Check the power supplied
to the sensor; if normal,
replace the stapler.
Otherwise, replace the
finisher controller PCB.
Yes Replace the finisher
controller PCB.
Yes Correct the wiring.
No Replace the switching
regulator.
Yes Correct the wiring from
the switching regulator to
the fuse PCB; if normal,
replace the stapler.
Yes/No Action
Yes Go to step 2.
No Go to step 3.
No Check the power to the
sensor; if normal, replace
the sensor. Otherwise,
replace the finisher
controller PCB.
Yes Replace the finisher
controller PCB.
Yes Correct the wiring.
No Replace the switching
regulator.
Yes Correct the wiring from
the switching regulator to
the fuse PCB; if normal,
replace the motor.
