7.29 Dismantling the telescopic tube

Dismantling
Remove the saw head from the telescopic tube as
described above.
Disconnect the cables (B) and the throttle wire
C
from carburetor. Remove cover if needed.
Loosen screws (A) one on the top cover and two
screws on the side,see figure. E
Loosen the two screws (C) and remove screw (E)

Remove the telescopic tube from the clutch cover.

Dismantling and assembly take place only from the
engine side.
Pull out the drive shaft (A) and the plastic pipe (B)
Then also pull out the long drive shaft. Note that
the shaft has a small 48 cm circlip at the shaft end.
Pull out the drive shaft (C) at the saw head end of
the telescopic tube.
Loosen the locking nut (D) anticlockwise and let
the pipe (E) jump out.
Loosen the screws (F).
Pull out the clamping sleeve (G) and the telescopic
pipe (E) from the telescopic tube (H).
