Handle the detector with care and caution. Impacts and falls can damage
circuits and housings and thus lead to false readings.
Use the detector only under normal ambient temperatures.
Temperature extremes shorten the life of electrical components and can
cause damage to the housing.
Keep the detector away from dust and dirt, this can cause premature wear
of parts.
Only clean the device with a damp cloth. Do not use chemicals, strong
detergents or solvents for cleaning.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the unit does not work, follow the steps below. If this does not solve the
problem, contact our customer service.
Problem
The detector sends false signals or
tones.
The display shows the wrong type
of metal when the detector finds a
target.
Potential solution
You are swinging the search plate
too fast or at the wrong angle. Try to
move the search plate more slowly
and parallel to the ground.
If objects are heavily rusted, a false
signal is sometimes sent. Try to aim
at the target from a different angle.
If the unit emits different signals and
sounds each time, it may be badly
rusted metal.
There is more than one metal object
underground.
The object is made of a metal that
the detector does not recognise.
If the object is heavily rusted, the
metal type may not be recognised
correctly. However, this is not a
malfunction.
