8.3 Voltage Regulator

The V pin can be used as a nominal 2.20 V reference voltage or a supply source for small loads (< 5

mA). A bypass capacitor may be necessary between this pin and V
transients or a low ripple reference is required.
Using V to drive external loads may degrade the performance of the SH3000.

8.4 Backup Power

The V pin can be connected to a backup power supply for the real-time clock, +2.3 to +5.5 V (+1.8 to

+5.5 V typical). This voltage can be higher or lower than V
capacitor (with external recharge circuit).
