Fittings and installations

This section guides you through fitting and installation of HCV 3 and HCV 5.
Introduction
Only trained and certified installers are allowed to install the unit!
Important
Follow this procedure to check the content of the box:

Step
The ducts connected to the unit must minimum have the same size as the duct flanges
Ducts
or bigger. Measurements are on the dimension sketches in the section "Technical data"
on page 70 and 71.
Dimensioning of the ducts and sound mufflers must be in conformity with national stan-
dards and guidelines directives in applicable current building act. For any kind of sup-
port and instructions contact your Dantherm-distributor.
Noise and vibrations from the unit to the ducts must be minimized. This can be done by
installing sound mufflers on both supply and exhaust air sides.

Unpack the unit carefully.

Check the content before mounting the unit.
• Power cable set
• Mounting bracket with rubber
band
• Two pieces of distance blocks
• 2 m drainage hose
• User's guide, installation and ser-
vice guide
• HCV 3 or HCV 5
• Quick guide
The ducts must be dimmed and the units must not be connected until the house is
ready for occupation, which means that the house is clean and dry. This is to pre-
vent any construction dust and condensed water from depositing in the ducting
system and to prevent any sanitation inconveniences from the ventilation units
later on.
