2. Connect and tighten the top
tether to the corresponding child
restraint system to secure the
child restraint system.
WARNING
A child can be seriously injured or
killed in a collision if the child
restraint system is not properly
anchored to the car and the child is
not properly restrained in the child
restraint system. Always follow the
child restraint system manufac -
turer's instructions for installation
and use.
WARNING
Australian design rules
Child restraint anchorages are
designed to withstand only those
loads imposed by correctly fitted
child restraints. Under no circum -
stances are they to be used for
adult seat belts, harnesses, or for
attaching other items or equipment
to the vehicle.

WARNING
Top tether
Never mount more than one child
restraint system to a single top
tether or to a single top tether
anchorage point. The increased load
caused by multiple child restraint
system may cause the top tethers
or anchorage points to break, caus -
ing serious injury or death.
WARNING
Do not use the relaxion mode after
installing the Child Restraint System
or install the Child Restraint System
in the relaxion mode. A child can be
seriously injured or killed in a colli -
sion.
WARNING
Child restraint system check
Check that the child restraint sys -
tem is secure by pushing and pulling
it in different directions. Incorrectly
fitted child restraint systems may
swing, twist, tip or separate causing
death or serious injury.
