Features of your vehicle
Operation tips
To keep dust or unpleasant fumes
from entering the vehicle through
the ventilation system, tempo -
rarily set the air intake control to
the recirculated air position. Be
sure to return the control to the
fresh air position when the irrita -
tion has passed to keep fresh air
in the vehicle. This will help keep
the driver alert and comfortable.
Air for the heating/cooling system
is drawn in through the grilles just
at the base of the windscreen.
Care should be taken that these
are not blocked by leaves, snow,
ice or other obstructions.
To prevent fog from forming on
the inside of the windscreen:
- Set the air intake control to the
fresh air position and the fan
speed to the desired position.
- Turn on the air conditioning
system, and adjust the tem -
perature control to desired
temperature.
Air conditioning (A/C)
All Kia air conditioning systems are
filled with R-134a/R-1234yf refrig -
erant.

CAUTION
Excessive air conditioning Use
When using the air conditioning sys -
tem, monitor the temperature
gauge closely whilst driving up hills
or in heavy traffic when outside
temperatures are high. Air condi -
tioning system operation may cause
vehicle overheating. Continue to use
the blower fan but turn the air con -
ditioning system off if the tempera -
ture gauge indicates vehicle
overheating.
CAUTION
The air conditioning system should
only be used with the windows and
sunroof closed to prevent conden -
sation inside the vehicle that may
cause damage to electrical compo -
nents.

short time to let the hot air inside
