SCANNER BOARD JUMPERS

Each scanner board requires a jumper to be installed for configuration. See Figure 19. As
illustrated, the jumper is installed across two pins of an eight-pin connector located on the
component side, opposite the test point connectors. Each pair of jumper pins are labeled from 1
to 4 representing the scanner board number. The Model 256/PC has two scanner boards as
shown in figure 2. The top scanner board is board number one and requires a jumper across
jumper pair number 1. The bottom board is scanner board number 2 and requires a jumper
across jumper pair number 2. These jumpers are factory set. However, it may be necessary to
move the jumper if the tester is disassembled to exchange or replace scanner boards.
