Fitting the attachments [including pole already fitted) to the power unit;
IMPORTANT!
Please note, please check the inside of aluminium connectors and the inside and outside
of the connecting poles for any dirt, grit or aluminium swarf that may obstruct a smooth
connection. Brand new connectors and tubes may be a little tight to begin with.
clean with a rag and then rub a little oil or vaselene inside the connectors to ensure easy fitting
and disconnection.
At the end of each of the tubes you will see there is a small round hole. With the hole
uppermost, twist the tube ( either a tube already fitted to one of the attachments or the optional
extra extension tube) into the quick-fit connector. Ensure the black hand tighten knob on the
connector is loose and that the metal sliding cover has been slid back. Push in the tube until
you feel and hear a click from the connector. Unless you feel and hear the click the attachment
has not been fully connected to the power unit.

To disconnect:
Unscrew the black knob on the connector. Release the metal sliding cover. Push down on
the pole in the connector and at the same time press the spring-loaded release switch in the
connector as shown in the following picture. Pull out the attachment.

8. FITTING THE HARNESS

Clip to the power unit and adjust for length and comfort.
Optimised the shaft length and 35 degree bevel gear facilitates operation and allows the
cutting equipment to work parallel with the ground.
9. Starting the engine.
9.1. Move the ignition switch to the "on" position marked.
9.2. Move the choke lever upwards to the start position (cold start) (Note: This is not
required if the engine is already warm.)
9.3. Push the primer button 8 times, until the petrol flows in and out of the discharge hose
