2.1. Oil is one of the main factors influencing the performance of the engine and his life.
Always use only high quality oils.
2.2. Use high quality oil for gasoline engines.

3. PREPARATION FOR USE

3.1. Use fresh unleaded petrol. You must use 100% synthetic oil specially made for four-
stroke engines.
3.2. Place the power unit upright on the ground or on a sturdy bench and wipe any debris
from around the fuel cap.
3.3. Unscrew the fuel tank cap and pour the unleaded petrol into the tank with the aid of a
funnel.
3.4. Be careful not to spill any petrol. If this happens, wipe the spill with a clean rag.
3.5. Start the engine at least three meters away from the area where the fuel tank has been
filled up in order to avoid any risk of fire.
DANGER OF FIRE AND BURN INJURIES
1. Always use extreme care when handling fuel! Fuel is highly flammable.
2. Never attempt to fuel the line engine if the fuel system components are damaged or are
leaking.
3. Never attempt the refuel the engine while it is running or still warm, allow it to cool first.
4. Never smoke or light any fires near the engine or fuels.
5. Always transport and store fuels in an approved container.
6. Never place flammable material close to a hot engine exhaust.
7. Do not use petrol which contains ethanol or methanol as it may damage the fuel lines
and other engine parts.
4. Check the air filter. Polluted air filter will restrict the entry of air into the carburettor. To
prevent failures in the carburettor, do not forget to clean the air filter periodically. Check the
filter to see if it is not too polluted and clean it if necessary. Do not run engine without air filter
as this can lead to rapid wear of the engine if dirt or dust is sucked into the carburettor.
5. It is necessary to fit the "D" handle and harness to the power unit and safety guard to the
brush cutter / grass trimmer accessory if you purchased this optional accessory set.
FITTING THE "D" HANDLE TO THE POWER UNIT.
The handle is in two parts. First separate the upper and lower parts by removing the four
hex-bolts using the hex key supplied.
The power unit handle has two black rubberized cover sections, longer is sponge rubber
and another shorter one is strong rubber. The longer of the two sections is moveable and is
for hand grip use only. Do not attempt to mount the handle on this section. The shorter of the
two sections has a harder feel to it and is firmly fixed to the aluminium pole. Mount both parts
of the handle over this section and fit the four hex bolts. Tighten until there is no movement.
6. FITTING THE SAFETY GUARD TO THE BRUSH CUTTER / GRASS TRIMMER SHAFT.
Mount the chromed metal guard holder on plastic guard.
line up the two holes then fix and tighten by using spanner and hex-key supplied.
