Transport position

Whenever you transport your Leica M844 F40, first bring it into
transport position (see chapter 7.1).
• Transporting the M844 F20 (see chapter 7.1.1)
• Transporting the Leica M844 F40 (see chapter 7.1.2)

Rest position

Bring the microscope into rest position after use.

F40 and F20 floor stands
NOTE
Danger of collision!
The surgical microscope can collide with surrounding components,
the ceiling or lamps.
Take care there is enough free space.

After bringing the microscope into transport position, push it to
X
its storage location.
Firmly depress the footbrake.
X
Protect your Leica M844 by covering it with its dust cover.
X

CT40 ceiling mount
CAUTION
Danger of collision!
The surgical microscope can collide with surrounding
components, the ceiling or lamps.
Check the danger area before moving the swing arm.
X
Carefully move the ceiling mount upwards, and observe
X
ceiling and lamps.
Swing the microscope away.
X
Remove sterile components.
X
Lock the swing arm.
X
Switch off the power switch on the swing arm.
X
Press the "Up" key on the remote control and raise the stand.
X

Shutting down the surgical
microscope
Where appropriate, end the recording procedure on the
X
documentation system (loss of data).
Bring the surgical microscope into the transport position.
X
Switch off the surgical microscope at the main switch.
X

WARNING
Motors return to their home positions
Switch on your microscope at the power switch of the horizontal

arm.
As soon as the main illuminator lights up, your microscope is

ready to use.
After the surgical microscope is switched on, the settings of
the last active user are loaded.

Switching the microscope on

Before switching on your Leica M844, ensure that the

travel paths of the XY, zoom and focus motors are free of
obstructions. The tilt motor is not moved.
