5.1
Illumination
OTTOFLEX M1

The illumination of the surgical microscope M844 consists of two
Halogen bulbs modules (2) for main light (one is a spare bulb can
can be changed in case of a not working main light), one halogen
bulb (1) for the Ottoflex (red reflex) light. They are located in the
optics carrier.

Electromagnetic brakes (F40 only)
The M844 surgical microscope has 4 electromagnetic brakes which stop the movements of the stand and surgical microscope. They are
operated by turning the handles.

5.2
Balancing system
With a balanced surgical microscope M844 you can move the optics
carrier in any position without tilting or falling down.
After balancing all movements during operation only need a minor
force.
The balancing is done by a gas spring (2) in the swing arm. With the
rotary knob (1) the drifts will be adjusted.
The stop lever (3) releases and locks the swing arm.
