Canon IJ Status Monitor Is Not Displayed
Cause
Bidirectional
support is not
enabled.

Action
Make sure that bidirectional support is
enabled.
(1) Click Start > Control Panel >
Printers and Other Hardware >
Printers and Faxes.
In non-XP Windows, click Start >
Settings > Printers.
(2) Click the Canon iP3300 icon.
(3) Open the File menu and select
Properties.
(4) On the Ports sheet, select
Enable bidirectional support.
In Windows Me and Windows 98, click
Spool Settings on the Details sheet
and select Enable bi-directional
support for this printer.

Make sure that the Enable Status
Monitor is selected on the Option
menu of the Canon IJ Status Monitor.
(1) Open the printer properties
dialog box.
See Opening the Printer Properties
Dialog Box Directly from the Start
Menu.
(2) On the Maintenance sheet,
select View Printer Status.
(3) Select Enable Status Monitor
on the Option menu if it is not
selected.
