    Power Problems Troubleshooting TDP-P6 power problems is different from prior Toshiba projectors. The TDP-P6 communicates its status via an LED and an LCD located on the keypad. When this status LED is green, you know that the projector is working properly. When the status LED is solid red or flashing red, you know there are lamp, power or startup problems.

    The lamp module gets very hot during operation. Allow the lamp to cool for 60 minutes before handling it. Place the projector upside down on a soft work surface. To remove the lamp door, loosen the two captive screws that secure it to the projector. TDP-P6 Service Manual...

    S-video capability player should also have a Composite video output port (RCA). Toshiba strongly suggests you use a DVD player to test the video quality. DVD players reproduce colors better and project sharper images. The least preferable is a VCR. If you must use a VCR, make sure you use a commercially produced recording, not one recorded from a broadcast source.
