BE SURE TO FOLLOW SAFETY RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS
WHAT'S WRONG?
Saw not plugged in
Fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped
Cord damaged
Brushes worn out
Dull blade
Blade mounted backwards
Gum or pitch on blade
Incorrect blade for work being done
Extension cord too light or too long
Low house current
Saw not mounted securely to stand or work bench
Stand or bench on uneven floor
Damaged saw blade
Mitre scale not adjusted correctly
Blade is not square to fence
Blade is not perpendicular to table
Workpiece moving
Cutting bowed material
WHAT TO DO
Plug in saw.
Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker.
Have cord replaced by authorised service centre.
Have brushes replaced by authorised service centre or replace them yourself.
Replace blade. Refer to Changing or Installing a New Saw Blade.
Turn blade around. Refer to Changing or Installing a New Saw Blade.
Remove blade and clean with turpentine and coarse steel wool or household oven cleaner.
Change the blade type. Refer to Saw Blades under Accessories.
Replace with adequate size cord. Refer to Additional Safety Rules for Mitre Saws.
Contact your electric company.
Tighten all mounting hardware. Refer to Bench Mounting.
Reposition on flat level surface. Refer to Familiarization.
Replace blade. Refer to Changing or Installing a New Saw Blade.
Check and adjust. Refer to Mitre Scale Adjustment under Assembly and Adjustments.
Check and adjust. Refer to Mitre Scale Adjustment under Assembly and Adjustments.
Check and adjust fence. Refer to Bevel Square to Table under Assembly and Adjustments.
Clamp workpiece securely to fence or glue 120 grit sandpaper to fence with rubber cement.
Refer to Bowed Material under Special Cuts.
