– Unplug and move clear electrical connector -4- for coolant
shortage indicator switch - F66- .
– Unscrew bolts -arrows-.
– Lift coolant expansion tank to one side with coolant hoses at‐
tached.
– Move electrical wire -2- and coolant hose -3- clear.
– Unscrew bolts -arrows- and detach bracket for coolant expan‐
sion tank.
Step 1 - removing spark plugs, cylinder bank (right-side):
– Unscrew bolts -arrows- for connector rail.
– Release connectors for ignition coils -1-, -2-, -3-, -4- and -5-
and unplug all connectors from ignition coils at the same time.
– Place connector rail slightly to one side. Make sure that wiring
is not kinked or damaged.
– Position puller - T40039- on thick rib at top of ignition coils and
detach all ignition coils from spark plugs one after the other in
direction of -arrow-.
– Unscrew spark plugs using spark plug socket and extension -
VAS 3122B- .
