Series 2000/3000 IDU User's Manual

• Ethernet Tx - Amber. Indicates that the IDU ethernet interface is transmitting traffic to
host when lit.
• Satellite Rx - Green. Indicates forward link is acquired when lit. When flashing it
indicates the IDU tuner has locked on the signal but the forward link is not yet
acquired.
• Satellite Tx - Green. Indicates return link is acquired when lit.
• Test - Amber. Indicates a test signal is being transmitted when lit.
• Alarm - Red. Indicates an important alarm is active when lit.
The figure below shows a schematic diagram of the IDU back panel.

The shaded areas are as follows (from left to right).
• Power cable connector. Provides AC power interface for IDU and ODU, and protec-
tive grounding of the IDU. Requires C14 type power cord, not supplied with the IDU
(AC Inlet Connector IEC-320 C14). 110-220 VAC, 50/60 Hz (auto-ranging).
• Power switch. Turns IDU power on or off.
• Fuse. Fast Acting Glass Fuse 250V, 2A.
• IDU IN connector. F-Female 75 ohms connector for IFL cable from the ODU. For
forward link communication.
• Ethernet connector. 10/100BaseT Ethernet Interface on RJ-45 connector. For ethernet
connection with LAN or host computer.
• Reset. The Reset button resets the IDUs ethernet IP address to its default value of
10.10.10.10. The IP address remains at this value until the unit is rebooted. To push
the reset button, insert a paper clip (or equivalent) into the hole for about one second.
• IDU OUT connector. F-Female 75 ohms connector for IFL cable from the ODU. For
return link communication.
