Replacing Consumables / Waste Toner Bottle

A message appears to let you know when a consumable will soon need to be replaced.
Make sure you have a new consumable on hand.
You can find out how to replace the toner and toner bottle and replenish staples by viewing the videos
shown on the control panel.
If you unintentionally close the window before viewing the video, press the [Check Status] key to display
the window again.

The status indicator flashes in yellow to notify that the waste toner bottle will soon need to be replaced
and lights in red when the bottle definitely needs to be replaced.
• You can add the system message widget from the application list.

Replacing the Toner

1. Check the message.
"Check you have a print cartridge replacement(s)."
The toner will soon need to be replaced.
• The toner can be used until it is indicated as needing to be replaced. Do not replace it before
that.
" Toner has been depleted."
The toner needs to be replaced. Replace the indicated color of toner immediately.
2. Open the cover and replace the toner.
Shake the new toner vertically 5 to 6 times.
By pressing [Watch Video], the video showing the replacement procedure appears.
