Printing on Envelopes
When printing on envelopes, register in advance the envelope size as the custom paper in the machine.
How to Measure the Size and Load an Envelope in the Bypass Tray

print side face up.

Measure the width and length with the flap closed. Load the envelope with the flap closed and the
print side face up.

When feeding the envelope from a paper tray, feed it with the print side face down.
Enter the measured values as the custom paper size in the following three settings:
1. Paper size setting to specify on the machine
2. Original size setting to specify in the application
3. Original size setting to specify in the printer driver
If feeding the envelope with its flap open, because the flap end is narrower, the finisher may fail to
deliver the envelope, resulting in a paper delivery error. If this happens, specify the settings to feed the
envelope with its flap closed.
