Synchronous motors of the MBT series are low-maintenance as long as they
are operated under the specified operating conditions and during their serv‐
ice life. Operation under unfavorable conditions can, however, lead to restric‐
tions in availability.

Increase availability with regular preventive maintenance measures.
Comply with the machine manufacturer's instructions in the machine
maintenance plan and the maintenance measures described below.

Record all maintenance measures in the machine maintenance plan.
Bosch Rexroth recommends the following maintenance measures based on
the machine manufacturer's maintenance plan:
Measure
Check the cooling system for proper
functioning.
Check the mechanical and electrical con‐
nections.
Check the machine for smooth running,
vibrations and bearing noise.
Remove dust, chips and other dirt in the
motor, from the motor housing, cooling
fins and the connections.
