HAPTER AINTENANCE
IBP Test
IBP Simulator (with accuracy better than +/- 1 mmHg), or equivalent
Tools Needed
Connect the test cables to IBP patient simulator.
Setup
Do This...
1. Connect the IBP patient simulator to the
Propaq M P1 channel.
2. Set the IBP patient simulator to 0 mmHg.
3. On the Propaq M unit, press > IBP.
4. On the Propaq M unit, Press > P1->0<-.
5. Exit the menu to see the waveform.
6. Set the IBP patient simulator to 200
mmHg (or as close to 200 mmHg as your
simulator allows).
7. Repeat steps 1 through 5 of this procedure
for P2 and P3 channels.
8. Disconnect IBP cable.

Observe This...
Display of 0/0(+/-2) in the P1 box
at the bottom of the display (P1 is
zeroed).
The waveform for channel 1 is
present.
Display of 200/200(+/-5) in the P1
box at the bottom of the display as
xxx/yyy where yyy=diastolic (P1
diastolic pressure is 200 (+/-5)).
