Commissioning with a FOUNDATION Fieldbus
configuration tool
Note!
For commissioning of the instrument with a FOUNDATION Fieldbus configuration tool you need
to know the INSTRUMENT_ID, which consists of the following parts:
Instrument_ID = 452B481012-XXXXXXXX
whereby:
452B48 ID code for Endress+Hauser
1012 ID code for Levelflex M
XXXXXXXX Instrument serial number, as printed on the nameplate

Fist setup

Open the configuration tool and load the Instrument Descriptions (*.ffo, *.sym and - if
required by the tool - *.cff). Ensure you use the correct files (see chapter 5.4).

The first time it is connected, the instrument reports as follows:

Identify the instrument using the INSTRUMENT_ID and assign the desired field instrument
tag name (PD_TAG).
Factory setting: PD_TAG = E+H_LEVELFLEX_M_XXXXXXXX
