Malfunction due to defects at the power supply unit and housing: If
the device has an obvious crack in the housing or a damaged power
supply unit, the device should be taken out of service.

8.3 Battery operation

Risk of corrosion due to battery leaks: Take the batteries out of the
device if the PF-3 is not used for longer periods.
Damage due to leaking batteries: MACHEREY-NAGEL recommends
the use of high-quality batteries.
