FCTP-FT1602 Integrated Safety System Ford Transit - Non-Tow Mirrors Vehicle Preparation & Protection CAUTION Consult your vehicle owner’s manual to disconnect the battery. Do not disconnect ANY airbag connectors or indicators. Doing so may result in activating a diagnostic code. These codes will require the dealer to perform the reset procedure which may incur a reset fee. -

FCTP-FT1602 Integrated Safety System Ford Transit - Non-Tow Mirrors Removing the Radio 4.2” Radio Display Only Step 1 Using a nylon trim removal tool, remove the cover from behind the radio display. Pry the cover from the dash and remove. Step 5 Remove the 2 x 7mm screws from the radio control panel.

Each step will need to be done on both driver’s and passenger sides. Removing the Door Panels There are 8 bolts and several snap connectors holding the door panels in place. -

FCTP-FT1602 IIntegrated Safety System Ford Transit - Non-Tow Mirrors Removing the Mirrors Step 1 Remove the mirror glass from the housing. Start with the bottom smaller mirror. Tilt the top of the mirror inward. Place fingers underneath. Pull straight forward to release. - Page 13 FCTP-FT1602 Integrated Safety System Ford Transit - Non-Tow Mirrors Removing the Mirrors - (cont’d) Step 3 Remove the 3 rubber grommets from the interior door frame to access the 3 x 10mm nuts holding the mirror. PLEASE NOTE Be sure to protect the side of the vehicle when removing the mirrors.
- Page 14 FCTP-FT1602 Integrated Safety System Ford Transit - Non-Tow Mirrors Mounting the Camera to the Mirror Caps Step 1 To assemble camera into the mirror caps, align the flat edge on bottom of the camera to mate with the flat edge on the mirror cap.

Reinstall the foam gasket removed earlier. Mounting the Camera Mirror Caps Step 1 Once the cable is routed through the mirror, install the plastic housing.

- Page 17 FCTP-FT1602 Integrated Safety System Ford Transit - Non-Tow Mirrors Routing the Camera Extension Cables Step 1 Route camera extension harnesses along the inside lower portion of the dash and up to the radio cavity. Connect the T-harness to the radio vehicle harness and the other side to the radio.
