This chapter will help you to recognize malfunctions and take appropriate measures.

4.1 Error messages

During operation, the furnace continuously monitors all the functions. If an error is detected, the respective error message
is displayed.
The acoustic signal and the error message can be acknowledged with the corresponding buttons. The following error mes-
sages may be displayed. If there are any questions, please contact the After Sales Service team.

Enter an acceptable value for T.
Enter an acceptable value for long-term cooling L.
Enter an acceptable value for the vacuum-on temperature V1 or the
vacuum-off temperature V2.
Change either the vacuum values or the holding temperature T.
Enter plausible values for V1, V2.
Caution: Excess temperature! Program aborted.
Temperature too high for calibration. Furnace is cooling down! Try
restarting the program later.
Enter a lower value for T1 or a higher value for T2.
A program in progress was interrupted for more than 10 s. The program
cannot be continued.
Enter a lower value for T1 or a higher value for V12.
Prevacuum activated! V2 must be higher than B.
Check the heater plug. Check the heater fuse. If the fuse is O.K., contact
your local Ivoclar Vivadent Service Centre.
The heating muffle is very old. It is recommended replacing it by a new
one. After this error message has been confirmed, a program may still be
started.
The heating muffle is in such poor condition that it has to be replaced
immediately.
Firing chamber is too hot for the start of a firing program.
The furnace head cannot be brought to the end position. It might be
blocked by external mechanical influences! If this is not the case, contact
your local Ivoclar Vivadent Service Centre.
Furnace head does not open/close correctly. The furnace head is obstructed
or has been moved by hand. Operate the furnace head only with the keys
intended for that purpose.
